LCIC Alumni Success Stories

Inspiring journeys of our graduates making a difference worldwide.

“Studying at LCIC as a BA Foreign Language student is something I will always be thankful for. Before, I didn’t really think I would have the chance to reach this point, especially coming from a simple background. When I received a scholarship from LCIC, it felt like a door opened for me, and from that moment, I knew I had to take it seriously and give my best.

Learning Japanese was not easy for me. There were times I felt tired and even doubted myself, but I kept going. With the help of my teachers and the training I received, I slowly improved my skills and gained confidence. Reaching JLPT N2 is one of the achievements I am truly proud of.

At present, I am about to begin working in Japan, and I believe this would not have been possible without LCIC’s guidance and support.

For current students, my advice is to study hard and be patient with yourself. All your efforts will be worth it someday. Opportunities will come—not only here in the Philippines, but also in Japan. Just don’t give up.”

“Hi, I am Micah Martinez, a fresh graduate and a newly licensed Physical Therapist from Lapu-Lapu Cebu International College, Inc. and I’ll be sharing to you not just my achievement but a story of faith, fear, sacrifice, and a victory that once felt impossible.

At LCIC, I am one of the first batch of graduates and one of the 7 in the PT department. Yes you read it right. Only 7. But amidst our small number, I can proudly say that we managed to give our beloved LCIC a 100% passing in the Physical Therapists Licensure Examination last Dec 2025.

With that, we wouldn’t have achieved this without our dear alma mater, the LCIC. We sincerely and deeply thank the LCIC community for the never ending support in any way they can until we finally took our most wished licensure examination.

To our faculty members, special mention to Ma’am OJ, thank you endlessly. You did not just teach lessons—you gave hope. You did not just train us students—you built pioneers. You believed in us when we were still learning how to believe in ourselves. Once again, thank you LCIC family.”

“I come from Davao de Oro, and although the idea of studying in Cebu had crossed my mind before, I never thought it would be possible because my family did not have the financial means.

Everything changed when a scholarship opportunity was offered. At that time, LCIC was still a newly opened school, so naturally there were some doubts. However, I believed that opportunities do not come often, so I decided to take the chance.

By God’s grace, I was granted a full academic scholarship under Astro Charitable and Scholarship Foundation Inc., and I became part of the pioneering batch of LCIC Trough this scholarship and the support of LCIC, I was able to complete my studies without carrying a heavy financial burden.

More than just providing free education, LCIC opened doors to new opportunities for me. One of the most significant was being introduced to the Japanese language I never that learning a foreign language would open so many possibilities and create new paths for my future.

Having foreign language credentials enabled me to get part-time jobs in Japanese establishments. So while I attended school during the day, I also worked at night. Moreover, these part-time jobs were introduced to me by my Japanese instructor. This proves that LCIC’s support extends beyond education. They help students grow not only through books but also through real-life experiences.

One thing I am most thankful for is that LCIC’s support did not stop the day we graduated. Even until now, they continue to look out for us, especially regarding our employment status. At present, I am in the process of applying to work in Japan, and I can truly say that LCIC opened this path for us.”

“My journey at Lapu-Lapu Cebu International College (LCIC) has been truly transformative. As someone who loves to travel, taking the step from Aloguinsan to Lapu-Lapu to pursue my studies felt like more than just a move–it symbolized a deeper journey. Just like the bridge that connects places and leads to new destinations, LCIC became my bridge toward my dreams and aspirations. It opened doors for me to grow, explore, and discover my true potential. LCIC stands true to its motto: Bridging Communities Through Education Excellence.

I am beyond thankful for the once-in-a-lifetime experiences I had at LCIC. Being surrounded by foreign students and being part of the study buddy program gave me the opportunity to communicate, build meaningful connections, and form lasting relationships that ultimately helped me secure a good job after graduation. Not to mention the dormitory that the school offered, which really helped me stay focused on my studies.

To current students, my advice is simple: embrace every opportunity and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone as growth begins when you challenge yourself. Trust your journey, just as I trusted mine, and believe that everything will lead you to where you are meant to be.”
